Apart from the optical stabilization, this camera will most likely be used for BASE jumps and not skydives (knowing Andreas...). Are hard drives a problem in the BASE environment? DSE 5 #6 February 1, 2009 only if you're above 9K MSL, but I'd worry about the heads on opening shock. Tape has a constant tensioning arm x 2, and Flash has no moving parts. IMO, it's simply nuts to use any drive or DVD-based recording system in any relationship to parachuting, since there are so many options available.
