I have a cameyeII that the button broke. Is there anyway i can just cut the button off and splice the wires together and use it just as an indicator light?

When you say the "button broke," what exactly do you mean? Like Billvon said, the "button" contains all the electronics...but it might still be reparable, depending on what you mean by "broke" ;)

broke as in very used and has a short in it somewhere. If you just hit the side of it, (the part with the button) the light will flicker on and off, and sometimes just stay off. The casing broke a long time ago and I just hot glued it closed. It worked for a while, but it is just worn out. I wanted to make it like a hypeye mini. just a plug and a light with no "eletronics"

Oh yeah ... that would fit my definition of broke too! :D

The funny thing is there are a bunch of electronics in the HYPEYE MINI...

If you want to fix the cameye (silly that I out of all people are suggesting this) look around the board and find if any parts have separated from the pad of the circuit board and then find someone to solder it down. An easy way is just start pressing parts down until it works.

Or just get a HYPEYE MINI :)
