usmc03 0 #1 June 23, 2009 I'm looking to buy a wide angle lens for my rebel XTI, is this a good one. I can buy it for 440.00 on ebay. Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM Thanks for any help! Chad
dragon2 2 #2 June 23, 2009 A good one for WHAT? What video+lens are you jumping and do you want to match up? Do you want to use autofocus for jumping? I'd strongly prefer the Canon 15mm 2.8 lens to this Sigma, or if you must save a few bucks go for the sigma 15mm 2.8, for most jumping. Matches up nice with most videocameras + raynox 3032. I own this Sigma (albeit with a nikon mount) but i always jump my nikon 16mm 2.8. All these alternatives are a bit fisheye-ey though, if you don't like that the sigma 10-20 is ok, although canon makes some nice zooms that are better quality. ciel bleu, Saskia
sdctlc 0 #3 June 23, 2009 Jumped a Sigma 15mm for a long time and loved it. Now I have a Canon 10-22 and Love it more! Between the Canon and the Sigma Zoom the Canon is a bit better... http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/351542-USA/Canon_9518A002_EF_S_10_22mm_f_3_5_4_5_USM.html A little more but really nice lens...
