AtomF 0 #1 July 29, 2009 Hey photography dropzonians- I'm buying a Canon XSi, and one thing that I've realized is that I don't know which memory card to buy yet. I know on XTi's and other digital cameras, the memory card will largely influence the speed at which I will be able to shoot stills. Does anybody have a tried-and-true brand or specific memory card that works really well? Preferably at Best Buy? Thanks, Atom

Bill_K 0 #8 July 30, 2009 I have both the SanDisk Extreme III's and the PNY's and use them interchangably every weekend. Both do fine for the speed at which we take pictures and the quality too.

markovwgti 0 #10 July 31, 2009 If using the card for tandem photography you shouldnt be buying such big cards like that...you want 1-2gb the most...no need for a 4gb card!
Icon134 0 #11 July 31, 2009 I have three SD cards for my XSi... a 1 GB Sandisk (ultra) with a built in USB adapter... a 4 GB SDHC Sandisk Extreme III and a 16 GB SDHC Transend Class 6 for those times when I don't want to have to swap out cards for a weekend or more... (and am shooting in RAW) I use the 1 GB and 4 GB cards for tandem videos... and the 16GB card for everything else...Livin' on the Edge... sleeping with my rigger's wife... I don't think there is a one size fit's all here. Different people use their cards differently. It's kind of nice to have at least two cards so you can drop one, grab the other and go when your fortunate enough to have a video editor on staff. dragon2 2 #14 August 2, 2009 With most good Sandisk cards you get these little pouches for free, these seem perfect for what you need Ask someone that jumps Sandisk cards if they don't need theirs (I for one have at least five of these in a drawer somewhere), buy some Sandisk cards or buy the pouch separately click ciel bleu, Saskia
