Go pro hero conversion to dvd

Recently bought the HD hero and I love it, however im having trouble getting the files to burn to a disk. Is there something im missing that will help. I would appreciate any experience or techniques you all might be able to help me with.

Getting GPHero footage to DVD is actually VERY easy. If you have the tools.

2007 Toshiba Tecra, I have Nero version 9 and also Express Burn Ive tried the Nero and cant get it to work havent tried the Express Burn. Thanks

You must first convert the footage to an MPEG 2 file format. I don't use Nero any longer, haven't for a couple of years, but I'm not sure it's capable of re-encoding. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Any editing software of recent build can convert it and typically burn a DVD for you, too.

Nero Vision can encode some files (most avi files, most mpg etc seem to work fine), and can't encode others, some of that will depend on installed codecs.

Don't have any raw gopro footage here to play with...

gopro packages the files as mpeg 4 files. Similar to AVCHD.

I have only used up to Nero 8 (which does work on Windows 7 btw) but according to Nero the latest version of Nero Vision does the following:

Nero Vision is the video editing and authoring program that lets you capture your videos from external devices and record them to a variety of popular optical formats including Blu-ray Disc, DVD-Video, AVCHD, VCD, and SVCD. You can create amazing slide shows and cut and edit your own movies with spectacular effects

so it should be able to do it but I have never messed with the footage from a Go Pro
