miller 0 #1 July 7, 2003 Chopped my vengance (airlocks) yesterday, and it was fully inflated at the time of release. (mad spinny line twists. got out of one and two more magically appeared in quick succession). After cutting away it did not stay inflated. It just balled up and drifted like any other cut away canopy. It landed about 300 feet from the free bag. just thought that I'd add my two cents to the fairly recent airlock discussion. mike
sducoach 0 #2 July 7, 2003 The Veng, just like any other canopy, requires tension on the lines to remain inflated. Yes the airlocks will slow down the deflation however, without the "resistance" of the lines it's just a nylon bag out there floating in the wind. Glad all worked well! amir1967 0 #3 July 7, 2003 chop mine 3 weeks ago and it flew about 4000ft or so, it took me about 3 hr to find it and in the end our pilot spot it , the free bag is still missing. (thinking it over I did chop at 4000 ft so it´s 45° in a very light wind) . mine seems to stay inflate and didn´t really wanted to come down that was when I thought I´ll better find a good place to land and look for it afterAM67
