ZKulls Box or no Box

I've recently bought a 2k Fuzion with zkulls quick releases. Im after a straw poll of whether people are using a camera box in conjunction with a top mount and zkulls. Im going to buy a sony cx110 or variant.

I see cookie do a box for the 500 or the 100/105 that would also fit a 110 and so do 2k, but apart from that its fairly spartan for choice.

I use a CX100 box from tonfly w/zkulls: http://www.tonfly.com/Accessories_500967.html

Pros: It's very sturdy, long enough for a big battery.
Cons: Maybe a bit heavy, unnecessarily long when you use it with the stock battery. (But neither of those are problems for top-mounting.)

thanks for the reply , I also see that Cookie have released a cage, I wonder if it will take anything but a cx100.

straw poll more of a figure of speech rather than a yes/no reply.

The Cookie CX100/105 Blackbox, CX500/520 Blackbox and CX100/105 Cage will not fit the CX110. Cookie tried that out and it won't fit. So they have started production on a new Blackbox and Cage for the CX110, which will be released in the upcoming weeks.

Don't buy a CX100/105 Box or Cage hoping to fit a CX110 in it. It won't work (at least with Cookie's current box/cage size). Either buy a CX100/105...or wait for the CX110-specific box or cage.

For the CX100/105/106 you can use the original CAGE by RCB-Lab (Zkulls). Some photos attached. RCB also make you a custom CAGE for your 110 if you supply dimensions info

I have the Zkulls cage with two Zkulls quick releases,
It lets me use the camera as a top mount when i'm just shooting video, or on the side when i'm taking stills too,
very happy with it
