jtval 0 #1 March 17, 2010 Anyone know WTF is up with my premiere? I cannot seem to import any files. anything I try to import says File Format Not Supported. Right now it says that with a VOB file which I think isnt supported but I had the same problem with fire wire from my HC-5 recently and even my trv 19/22 same issue. I don't get it I USED TO be able to import video and edit with no problem. My photos My Videos
DSE 5 #2 March 17, 2010 Did you uninstall Encore? Premiere uses the MC MPEG decoder from Encore
mccordia 74 #3 March 17, 2010 Renaming .vob to .mpg can help, but it sounds more like a missing codec issue.JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?
spootch 0 #4 March 17, 2010 i got the same fn problem good luck with the support too! are you using an external drive? does it ask you to locate the file before the "message" appears?
PhreeZone 20 #5 March 17, 2010 What version Premiere are you using? VOB is not a valid format for Premeire anyways.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
jtval 0 #6 March 18, 2010 CS3 I didnt uninstall encore. I knew that VOB wouldnt work but I figured I would try it since nothing else was working. My photos My Videos
DSE 5 #7 March 18, 2010 renaming the vob file to .mpg works fine in later versions of premiere, but if you don't have an MPEG decoder associated, it won't decode.
