mircan 0 #1 March 19, 2010 I was wondering did anyone manage to connect Optima LED to Hypeye D pro without expansion kit (direct wire connection)? My Optima LED broke so I have the cable and I don`t need extra options in expansion kit. For mounting of the kit you still need to open up Hypeye and it uses standard jack. bomb420 1 #2 March 19, 2010 Depends how good your skills are. Hmmm and if you wire it backwards you may blow out the LEDs. Here is the schematic of the expansion kit. -Trunk Hypeye Expansion Kit Schematic LinkHYPOXIC
mircan 0 #3 March 19, 2010 I`m not so skilled, but people back at work teach that kind of stuff for living, so I have somewhere to take this. Thank you. mircandudeist skydiver #
skyjumpenfool 2 #4 March 19, 2010 Quote Depends how good your skills are. Hmmm and if you wire it backwards you may blow out the LEDs. LED = Light Emitting Diode Diodes (including light emitting diodes) are devices that only allow electricity to flow in one direction. An LED must be connected to a power source with some form of resistance in series with the LED. If the LED is connected directly to a source with forward bias, the LED will be destroyed. Just connecting an LED backwards will not damage it. After Breadboarding an LED circut, I have my students turn the LED around backwards to see what will happen. It will not damage the LED, but will disrupt the circut. Now, should I do my lecture on OHMS law? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
