dldproductions 0 #26 May 9, 2012 QuoteIs this OK? The thing is on there tight but I don't want it falling off in freefall. I use my gopro for skydiving and alpine skiing... I lost my mounts two times in cold temperature... They do look and feel solid... but I do not trust them anymore... IMO, get yours screwed on an helmet that as a cutaway system... trunk 0 #27 May 11, 2012 For sports where it is cold and there is a ton of flex, the surf mounts work well. Just make sure you are applying the mount in room temperature and the surface is completely clean. Also, the tape is supposed to cure to the surface for 72 hours according to the spec.Trunk's Blog HYPOXIC's Instagram Like HYPOXIC
mei 0 #28 December 27, 2012 QuoteQuote A plastic mount breaks in case of severe stress. Does this setup ad a cutaway option to the helmet to compensate? Has anyone tested that? Those mounts seem pretty solid to me. Sorry to bring up an old thread, but yes it's been tested and no they do not just "break off"... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BsEI_6cErbM
