shah269 0 #1 May 23, 2010 Guys I did my first return jumps this past Friday. Two jumps from 13k ft Smile One i went long on the landing and landed square in the middle of the runway but the other i had my final dialed in and landed softly and safely on the grass. I had both jumps video taped.....incase they were my last Lol But one problem, i can't get the DVD to work on my computer. It will read the files but won't play the DVD. My instructor utilized a Sony HD camera to capture the jump. He burned in on a Sony DVD burner on a DVD-R It plays perfectly on my DVD player but though the computers (Dell and Apple) neither can play the movie but can see the files..... Also how do i convert the video in to windows media player. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I can't seem to find anything on line. Thank you ShahLife through good thoughts, good words, and good deeds is necessary to ensure happiness and to keep chaos at bay. The only thing that falls from the sky is birdshit and fools! DSE 5 #2 May 23, 2010 Sounds like you don't have a software decoder for MPEG on your computer. I'd recommend downloading VLC player for your PC; that should play the DVD on your computer.

dragon2 2 #9 May 23, 2010 WHAT files? Presuming this is a playable DVD and not a data DVD: go to the directory of the dvd. Go to the VIDEO_TS directory. Copy the biggest .vob file you can find to your harddrive. Rename .vob to .mpg. Convert said mpg using software of choice to other format of choice (if you even need to). ciel bleu, Saskia

DSE 5 #11 May 24, 2010 You didn't originally say you needed it to play on Facebook...Even with the VOB name conversion, if WMP wouldn't play it, you didn't/don't have a decoder installed. VLC manages the playback just fine. But it's not a converter tool... Glad you got it going. Welcome back to the sky. No more cross posts, please?
