Why would you put a cutaway system on for a gopro? You realise that two way tape will more than likely rip off if you ever have an issue

Just fitted a 2k composites kit 2,thats a nice and easy way especially if you have ratchet straps and a chincup which i assume you do.
Safety is obviously your first consideration......nothing wrong with that.

Wrong.
the tapes, with a line caught on them, require well over 100 lbs to rip off. The camera mount will break before the tape rips off.
Already been tested.

The tape will not rip off before there is an issue.
If the line snag occurs between the plastic and the helmet, it's going to be a real problem. If it snags above the plastic mount and on the camera itself, then the camera mount will break.
The tape does not give easily. There is enough force from a line snagged on the tape to do damage to your neck given the opportunity.

Just realised this helmet model comes with the chinstrap only from new, i have seen a webbing strap version of the cutaway fitted i think to a Bonehead Rok.
Might be an option?
