Skydivesg 7 #1 August 24, 2010 OK I just don't have the time to make a career out of the search function. I've tried every combo I can think of, but can't find the post on how to remove the hand strap on a CX 100-150. I know I read it here once. Can one of you more talented people post a link to that thread please?Be the canopy pilot you want that other guy to be.

Skydivesg 7 #8 August 25, 2010 See..... there you go just proving that some of you are clearly more computer talented than others (namely me). I can barely stumble around a keyboard and you cleverly link the info to a cute smiley guy. I take back most of what I was thinking about you (OK all of it). Thanks for trying to help some guy who is still using his Windows 98 computer.Be the canopy pilot you want that other guy to be.
L.T. 0 #9 August 28, 2010 Dunno why everyone is in a hurry to cut off the strap. If you're using a Cookie box like many people, there's plenty of room in there to just leave the strap on the camera.

I don't think the people who have Cookie boxes are the ones worrying about taking the strap off."I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message
ryan_d_sucks 0 #11 August 29, 2010 I use a Rawa box. I cut the strap off with scissors. It took about 10 seconds.
Ragnarok 0 #12 October 26, 2010 Why this place is known as Dork Zone --- Nice replies. On the bottom or that CX100 there are 5 very small screws. Remove them. It takes a bit of finagaling but the bottom cover comes off. Then there are three more screws to get the strap off. I will take mine apart this week and get some pictures and post them so others with this question will have something to use. Cutting the strap is just lazy, and most of those that cut the strap have helmets covered in gaffers tape. Form follows function. For those of you that post smart ass comments, if you are happy with a sloppy taped up helmet, fine. Juat leave your 0.02 to yourselves when someone asks an honest question. We are supposed to hepl eachother here, are we not?_________________________________________ Twin Otter N203-Echo,29 July 2006 Cessna P206 N2537X, 19 April 2008 Blue Skies Forever
