Laszloimage 0 #3 October 20, 2010 Thank you for the info Spot! It looks pretty impressive for the price and the size. ...I can't wait to see Sony's "respond" to this practicular model though.
DSE 5 #4 October 20, 2010 So... did you talk to Sony at NAB? What makes you think they're gonna respond to this camera (they kinda already did with the Alpha announcement)? Did you see the 3D rig with the beamsplitter? now...just use a little creative thot...
mchamp 1 #5 October 20, 2010 Does anyone know of someone that uses RED cameras on a regular basis or even occasionally? If so how is it, is it at least somewhat practical in terms of setup and stuff? Of course excluding the price that is lolFor info regarding lift ticket prices all around the world check out http://www.jumpticketprices.com/dropzones.asp
4dbill 0 #6 October 20, 2010 Wow.. the specs look great! Now the question is, who is going to be the first one to jump it? 4DBill http://dslrforvideo.com http://4dbill.com

One of the forum members here is a tech cat for this camera. Set up isn't any different overall than for any other camera. Shutter speed and aperture are the same concept. There are some gamma and raw things to know... What specifically is the question?
4dbill 0 #9 October 20, 2010 Quote You say that as though a 4/3 camera hasn't been jumped yet. Who would be the lucky first one to jump the Panasonic AG-AF100? Even the DSLR video King, Phillips Bloom, has nothing but good things to say about it. It looks 'small' enough to jump it. 4DBill http://dslrforvideo.com http://4dbill.com
DSE 5 #10 October 20, 2010 It's small enough. I haven't jumped the Panny. Their camera division manager doesn't like me much. Phillip is the DSLR video king? Good to know.
Laszloimage 0 #11 October 21, 2010 I saw that beam splitter set up. I wasn't aware the new 4/3 cameras though... The boot was pretty busy at the time and I thought those "camera bodies" were CineAltas. Also they kept talking about 3D (just like everybody else...) and they didn't mention at the time the new 4/3 cameras... But as I recall it their size with a prime lens could be "jumpable" :):):) How about price?
