colossus 0 #1 December 15, 2010 Does anyone have any pictures of MudFlap mounts for GoPros? I have seen chest mounts, but I have not seen any for mudflaps? I have seen videos of people using them on youtube... but alas no pics. If you have used one, how well did it work for you? Thanks!

The ones I've seen used are just mudflap mounts for altimeters that have modified. Bonehead makes one as do a few other companies."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
DSE 5 #3 December 15, 2010 Talk to Monkeyboy here on DZ.com. His altimeter mount works quite nicely.
colossus 0 #4 December 15, 2010 I have a "wedge" mount for my alti on the left side. I was not even thinking about the Bonehead mount. I know that it is angled... is that an issue or an advantage as it would point the camera to my face? (I am not that ugly you know! ) Any other issues mounting the camera to the bonehead mount? DSE 5 #5 December 15, 2010 A "Wedge" brand (Lookma) won't work. Not stiff enuff. The stickon base works on Monkey's, and the camera can be angled pretty easily.

colossus 0 #8 December 16, 2010 Are you speaking from experience? :) Looking at it more, yeppers I think that Bonehead mount might just do the trick.
bofh 0 #9 December 16, 2010 I made a wingsuit jump with the GoPro on the mudflap once. I just used the bicycle helmet mount that was delivered with the helmet kit. During opening I managed to hit the camera with the wing, so it didn't film the whole opening in the proper orientation, but otherwise it worked fine. mccordia 74 #10 December 16, 2010 Quote Are you speaking from experience? :) Not personal experience, but seeing somepeople with low jump numbers focus a lot of how awesome the angle is, and forget there is a pilotchute passing there (people mounting them on their right foot etc). Never hurts to comment on the (seemingly) obvious stuff...it may not be as obvious for everyone elseJC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

They work great and are real easy to install/remove without having to deal with the velcro.50 donations so far. Give it a try. colossus 0 #13 April 12, 2011 Well, the winter was really long, and I had way too much time on my hands... I also decided to try to make my own GoPro Mudflap mount... What are your thoughts? I based the attachment on other mudflap mounts that I have seen before. I have not had a chance to fly with it yet, but it seems very secure.
