DBCOOPER 5 #1 March 6, 2011 Interested in moving up to something in the CX series. The DZ has some older editing equiptment and still does everything in DV tape. Can you transfer from say a cx100 to a TRV series digital tape camera without degrading the quality?Replying to: Re: Stall On Jump Run Emergency Procedure? by billvon If the plane is unrecoverable then exiting is a very very good idea. PharmerPhil 0 #2 March 6, 2011 Not really, and certainly not quickly. The quickest way would be to use an older TRV that has analog inputs, play the CX into those (signal degradation). But that would still be a real time capture, and would presumably happen before you even started editing. Sounds like a real kludged, slow process to me. I know the size and weight of a CX is an attraction, but they really don't lend themselves to the old analog editing set-ups. Either keep flying a DV camera, or move up to NLE. DBCOOPER 5 #3 March 7, 2011 Another question. Is there more than one model of cx110. I saw one in chinamart for 319.00 today.Replying to: Re: Stall On Jump Run Emergency Procedure? by billvon If the plane is unrecoverable then exiting is a very very good idea. Got my 110, plus an 8gb card, plus shipping for 255. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=cx110&_sacat=See-All-Categories. There are several on there with "buy it now" prices that you would like.“That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.”
Superfletch 1 #5 March 7, 2011 I picked up a brand new CX100 for $135 the other day... yup... you heard me right... I'm sure it was a fluke... but I'm not discounting it... Hahahaha... I'm stoked. Of course it's just a backup and goes in the closet, but at least I didn't have to pay a fortune for a backup. :P Gary "Superfletch" Fletcher D-26145; USPA Coach, IAD/I, AFF/I Videographer/Photographer
