aerialcameraman 0 #1 March 10, 2011 Do you guys and gals when mounting both cameras on top. Turn both of them slightly at an angle toward each there when mounting or do you mount one straight and then center the other by angling it?

Most cameras used in skydiving are so wide angle that the difference is imperceptible. Indeed, a bigger issue is the angle difference between the line of sight afforded by your sight and the camera's line of sight, since that's a much larger distance. (on the order of 8 inches.) That means that if you sight both your sight and your camera in to the same spot 10 feet away, there will be an angle there, and the camera will only be sighted in correctly if you are the same distance from your subject in freefall. In practice this is almost negligible as well as long as your sighting target is a reasonable distance away (for example, 10 feet.)
ltdiver 3 #3 March 11, 2011 Here's a nice write-up on how some sight their cameras, and the way I choose to do so. That is for big-ways down to 4-ways. If I'm filming tandems I do the parallax thing. http://futurecam.com/sightingIn.html Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
