(However, with a traditional wide angle lens, vague is all you really need, and you get used to either one pretty quickly anyway.)
Superfletch 1 #3 March 18, 2011 Yeah... I second that... the ring sight is more precise, however with a wide angle lens you don't need, dead nuts precise the cross sight is good enough... rehmwa 2 #4 March 25, 2011 Thanks, guys - everything is here (except the helmet and little bits like mem cards and spare batteries) now so I'll be assembling my first video helmet in about 3 weeks. Last time I did vid was with VHS cameras - pretty heavy. So this should be a fun new thing to learn. and easier on the neck ... skyjumpenfool 2 #6 March 30, 2011 I use the rings because it seems (at least to me) to be the least intrusive. I tend to only see the middle ring. I've tried the cross hairs, but I didn't like the way it showed up in the corners. For me, it was more distracting. When I get your helmet done, why don't you srew on my ringsight (rings) and Porta's new sight (crosshair) and see which you like the best. Or, since your helmet is just like mine, take mine for a test flight. By the way, I delivered Dan's helmet to him yesterday. I cleaned and preped the mold to start yours today.
