GARYC24 3 #1 May 8, 2011 Been wanting to transfer these to DVD, I have lots on several tapes. Been thinking of taking to local places in town that can do it. However, wanted to see if anyone out there could do it for me. I could bring to Perris (ca) and rather spend $ to have a skydiver do it.
Hellis 0 #2 May 8, 2011 All you need is a VHS-player and a DVD-recorder. A combination of what most people have in their livingroom and their basement/attic and you can do it yourself Connect them with a scart cable and put the DVD on AV and play the VHS tape, press record on the DVD. wetbrick 0 #6 May 9, 2011 it also helps to have a head cleaner old tapes can dirty up the head. So it may need to be cleaned periodically depending on how dirty the tapes you have are and how many tapes you have to convert. if you have video that has value to you and the image quality is bad it may be worth sending it to someone who can pull a good image out of it.
