You'll need to convert on ingest, which slows the process somewhat, but AVCHD is perfectly accessible on a Mac (even if it is a PITA that Apple chooses to make this difficult on their users). DSE 5 #4 May 29, 2011 you can use third party software, which is a tad faster and a fair amount higher quality, or you can use Log/transfer to import.
