CarloC 0 #1 June 2, 2011 Hello, i bought an opteka .3 fisheye and when i fitted in my cx110 i realized it has some sort of dirty inside de lenses, its not on the outside, i try to clean both sides and after some time i saw is in the inside. Im far from the U.S and im not in the mood to send to opteka for repair, cause would take forever. Anyway, this type of lenses is possible to clean inside between the lenses? Here is a pic of the stuff in the right bottom
DSE 5 #2 June 2, 2011 No easy way to get into the lens. You SURE it's on the inside of the lens and not on the camera lens?

DSE 5 #4 June 2, 2011 I didn't know the Opteka front element was threaded in like the Century MKII is. If so, that's great!! Thanks for linking this. It's a good resource for the Century peeps. I guess I should rip into my Opteka to find if it's really threaded or not.
CarloC 0 #5 June 2, 2011 Yes DSE, the camera is fine, i guess is must be some sort of error in the manufacturing process, it is brand new and it was the first time i test it. Raceface thanks for the video, i hope it works Blue ones
Tink1717 2 #6 June 2, 2011 You have a fungus in your lens. You need to adress the issue of moisture in our lens once you resolve the fungus itself. Make sure you seal the lens completely afterwards. I'd send it back and get a new one.Skydivers don't knock on Death's door. They ring the bell and runaway... It really pisses him off. -The World Famous Tink. (I never heard of you either!!) CarloC 0 #7 June 5, 2011 Okay, so here is what happened... The Opteka lenses are easy to open, just like the video, but there is a difference, The Bigger outside lenses are 2 lenses glued together, and the spot is between those glasses. A professional guy whom i took to try to clean, gave a good tip, he reassembled the Lenses in a way the spot does not show in the footage. I did 10 jumps this weekend with the lenses and its Great. The shipping back and forward to change the lenses would be more expensive than a new one, so i will stick with that.Anyway, if you have an opteka and want to use the video tutorial to clean inside it works the same way. Blue ones!
