DSE 5 #2 September 1, 2011 This could be stabilization, could be the way the mount is holding, could be the box itself, could be the helmet moving. Could also be the homemade lens. can you try another camera to see if it replicates?
soulbabel 0 #3 September 2, 2011 Does the lens opening on your box fit really snugly around the front of the camera? Or is there a bit of a gap between the camera and the box opening? I had similiar vibration issues when flying headdown, but I jump a 2KC FF3 with Opteka .3x lens. I traced one major issue of the vibration to the lens mount on the CX100, CX150. Basically you can hold the body in place, try to move the lens up and down, and you can see the flex in the front portion of the camera body. It's not a whole lot of play, but it's enough to cause jittery footage at high speeds. I found that the people with the most stable headdown footage with the CX series, usually had cookie boxes where the lens was held in place by the box very snugly, and eliminating the camera front mount flexing. If there is a gap in yours, you might want to try padding the opening with something sturdy to see if it helps.
outski 0 #4 September 5, 2011 will find it out during weekend as i keep staff on dz thanks a lot! Quote can you try another camera to see if it replicates? another cx-105 was checked and the same thing happen different is rather impossible as even 115 doesn't fit the box
ciechan 0 #5 September 6, 2011 It is because of zkulls mount and gap between box and helmet. If you grab the helmet with one hand and the box with other hand and try move you can feel that it shakes. Put some tape on box or helmet it should "seal" the gap.
