bigorangemd 0 #1 September 13, 2011 At the end of the tandems video we do a two or three shot montage of the jump. The guys with imovie use freeze frame and grab pics that are of very good quality from their cx100's. I use save image from the viewer window when scrolling across the time line. When blown up to TV size the image quality sucks (even set on "best") any better way to do this without having to import stills, too time consuming. Thanks. DSE 5 #2 September 13, 2011 Set Preview to Best/Full. Then cap the image. Other options are to use plugins that capture images and automatically create movement/slideshow for you.
bigorangemd 0 #3 September 13, 2011 Thanks. Have it set to that but still VERY fuzzy. I'll go back and watch your video again for the plug ins. Thanks.
Zlew 0 #4 September 13, 2011 Have you tried using PMB to grab the frames?
DSE 5 #6 September 14, 2011 Picture Motion Browser does a resample of images from AVCHD cams to make them "double resolution." Viewed at normal sizes, they look pretty good. As far as plugins, Ultimate S Pro and Ultimate S Light both do grabs, but they resample at the project resolution. You can do the same thing in Vegas as PMB does, but it takes a coupla workaround clicks.
Zlew 0 #7 September 14, 2011 Adding to DSE's note: It's free software that comes with most of the Sony CX cameras and allows you to take really clean screen grabs. Not DSLR or even high end point and shoot quality, but pretty damn good. These were all grabs from PMB http://www.flickr.com/photos/zlew/sets/72157624850949060/detail/
