rending problem with vegas?

i was rendering some videos on the bosses laptop and
a window came up saying that vegas was using too much memory and it shut down the render and would not complete the render

but i can render the same video on my laptop that has less memory and processor speed with out any problems

any ideas on what might be causing this ?

Could be myriad things.
Any antivirus running (always first place to look)
Other apps running in the background?
Change the RAM thread to 0 unless you have a bunch of stills.
Might be other buses doing other things, too.
