Sangi 0 #3 December 15, 2011 The bridle somehow cleared after it got snagged and pretty fast as far as I can remember from the vid.. Still, good reason to always have a cutaway helmet."Dream as you'll live forever, live as you'll die today." James Dean
jtval 0 #4 December 15, 2011 Yea, there was video online posted to the original thread. I forget the name of it but, if you search for gopro entanglemnet you'll probably find it. ETA: Here's the linkMy photos My Videos
tunnelfly 0 #5 December 16, 2011 here's the link to the video, pretty hard to find in the thread... http://vimeo.com/26151600 And btw, it was the students second jump, although it's been a while since his first one. Plus, the student is actually a tunnel instructor/coach. Doesn't make the situation less dangerous, but might explain why he threw harder than the average student. kawisixer01 0 #7 December 19, 2011 I would think a helmet view wouldn't be that good on an aff jump anyways. The AFF instructors that I have seen doing vid have put a gopro on an old chest alti mount and wear it on their chest strap. Much better and usable footage. I've seen a couple different setups, gopro on the top of a helmet gives a good view of feet, gopro on the chest gives good arch view, one mounted to the chin of a fullface seemed to be a decent mix of the two, but I don't like it sticking out that far."I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message
