LouDiamond 1 #1 May 6, 2012 Can't say I have any experience with these but I came across it and thought I'd share. http://pivothead.com/product/product.php"It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING

Hellis 0 #3 May 7, 2012 I was going to say it was rather impressive video, until he exited A fullface helmet would probably be better as it would keep the glasses still but then you might get foging issues. And I'm not sure about the 75 degree field of view.
Divalent 135 #4 May 7, 2012 I agree the field of view is too narrow for general purpose skydiving. Do they have a wider angle option? And the continuous flicker in the video that begins once they exit the plane mars what is otherwise reasonably good quality. Hope they can fix that. Good concept, however. Not a snag hazzard, easy to "mount", no need to fuss with getting it aimed properly.
DSE 5 #5 May 7, 2012 the warble seen in that vid isn't from the glasses moving; it's from a software or hardware gyro. Knowing the developers fairly well, they'll have this worked out prior to bringing them to market. The sunglass optics are very well done, UV etc. Angle of camera lens, encoding bitrate, and the gyro issue all need some tweaks, IMO.
skyjumpenfool 2 #6 May 7, 2012 The size of the whole setup is way too big. Can't they get that system to fit into the top button of my jumpsuit? Birdshit & Fools Productions "Son, only two things fall from the sky."
Divalent 135 #7 August 2, 2012 Here's another video using the Pivot head in a skydive (a Helo jump). Was posted June 26, a few weeks after the official release, so presumably this is their production run model. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=srzXLCq7IhE
rob 0 #8 January 29, 2014 If anyone does have experience with these I'd like to hear from them. I was going to get a pair, but realised that the frames wouldn't be flexible and fit to my face. I suppose if you had the right physiognomy they'd be perfect.
DSE 5 #9 January 31, 2014 They're useless. The camera cannot manage the instability in freefall, the jellocam is abhorrent, and the compression is very weak.
