alx72 0 #1 August 29, 2012 After connecting my GoPro2 to a USB switch to play video on a screen, the video files (MP4) got corrupted/deleted, probably through not properly switching off the camera before disconnecting. I managed to retrieve the files with a recovery tool, structurally they seem/are indicated to be OK. However, from what I could dig out from the web, the indexing of the file is most likely corrupted/broken. When trying to play back on a standard media player (VLC) it only shows black without sound. It does not indicate an error. Importing into editing software (iMovie, Video Deluxe) also did not help. Any input / help how to fix this highly appreciated. Thanks.
