johnmatrix 21 #1 September 28, 2012 I have a CX100 in a Cookie cage turned on with the charger plugged in. I just felt an electric charge coming off the cage when it touched my forearm - can't feel it through my fingers, but thinner skin I could definitely feel something coming off it. Anyone had a similar thing happen? Should I be worried about this? There's currently a lightning storm above my house too but I felt it just before it started. Its probably a small buzz coming off of the camera because you're touching something else that's conductive and the shell of the cage (which is conductive via the mounting screw on the camera. Try unplugging the charger, I bet that will resolve it. If so, it is a wiring issue. I wouldn't suggest you keep "playing" with it though."I may be a dirty pirate hooker...but I'm not about to go stand on the corner." iluvtofly DPH -7, TDS 578, Muff 5153, SCR 14890 I'm an asshole, and I approve this message
trunk 0 #3 September 28, 2012 Sound like you have a poorly wired outlet. The sell cheap outlet testers at home depot or I'm sure someone at your DZ has one, borrow it and you'll probably see the neutral is swapped with the hot. It can also be a bad ground in your house. But then again I didn't think the 1/4" bolt was grounded inside the camera... Totally weird.Trunk's Blog HYPOXIC's Instagram Like HYPOXIC
johnmatrix 21 #4 September 28, 2012 Thanks all! - it didn't seem to keep recurring. It's still plugged in the same way but seems normal now. Might be time to test the outlet.

Going near an earthed screw if you are charged will create a discharge/shock. Best way to check if probably to test yourself against something else earthed - if you have metal pipes in your house, then a tap will work. Same effect, you are charged.....No effect then get an electrician to check out your wiring..The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits." -- Albert Einstein
