kiwiscantfly 0 #1 November 20, 2012 Does anyone know if there is a remote shutter switch for the new canon eos m ?
trunk 0 #2 November 21, 2012 Unfortunately there is not a wired one. It also appears the infrared options do not allow the camera to shoot continuously. There is a possibility to drive it via USB since it does support remote capturing. Can this be done at continuous shot? I don't believe so, but need to test. Is there a market for the work involved with implementing this? Possibly. We'll see, got a bunch on my plate right now Trunk's Blog HYPOXIC's Instagram Like HYPOXIC
stuntquest 0 #3 January 30, 2013 Anyone got more to add for this? I was going to get an EOS M and wire a tongue switch to the IR remote. Bit of 100mph tape or a neoprene cover and away you go. Now that I know it wont take images in "Spray and Pray" mode it's not that appealing to me. Although I was brought up on 35mm and to choose your shots, there are times when continuous mode is warranted. So, has a fix been developed? Zlew 0 #4 January 30, 2013 I'll be jumping the EPM1 Olympus this weekend. Has a hard wired port and an adapter from Trunk. So far it looks really promising on the ground; we'll see how she does in the air. Are you only looking for a canon, or open to other mirror less options? stuntquest 0 #5 January 30, 2013 Just looking for something lighter and that i can fit every Canon lens I have to it. Rob Don't let your perceived ability override your actual ability www.vortextv.com.au
Zlew 0 #6 January 30, 2013 The M mount is different, but they do have an adapter for about 200 bucks that allows you to put EF and EFS lens onto it. Adds about an inch onto the length of any lens, but will let you add your other Canon glass.
stuntquest 0 #7 January 30, 2013 Yep, I'm all over the the EF to M converter. I have some great canon lenses I dont want to put on the shelf. Just want "Spray and Pray" remote shutter and I'm sold.
