BETO74 0 #1 July 20, 2013 Anyone know if is worth to get the dive housing? the go pro website claims the flat surface of the lens will give more flatten image but it doesn't say if the dive housing has a filter that will improve the underwater pictures (without external lights used) if you had tried to shoot video of pics with th go pro pass 20 ft depending on water conditions the video logically comes out greenish, does this housing fix this ??? I realize this is a skydive photography, save the sarcasm if you have nothing to contribute, most of us do all kinds of activities and this forum does happen to have very knowledgeable ppl in ithttp://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
guscabana 0 #2 July 22, 2013 you don't need to buy another housing, you can buy this adapter and filters, and fix both the focus and white balance problems underwater. http://www.snakeriverprototyping.com/Products/blurfix-kit--original.aspx http://www.snakeriverprototyping.com/55mm-filters Good luck! It's also the reason that the GoPro3 has a flat front housing. Getting good focus underwater with a round faced lens is non-doable. I have a Eye-of-Mine housing for my GP1 and now I have a GP3 which makes that unnecessary. Hope that helps!~D Where troubles melt like lemon drops Away above the chimney tops That's where you'll find me. BETO74 0 #4 July 25, 2013 Thanks it does help. I also lookd into those rage kits and is not worth the price better to buy the dive housing and I also pick up a filter for $14. I think I am set for this weekends trip to scuba in Bahamas. I always hated that blurred video that the old housing give.http://web.mac.com/ac057a/iWeb/AC057A/H0M3.html
