JonBojar 0 #1 August 4, 2014 Has anyone successfully hard wired a cable trigger into one of the Sony NEX cameras? (similar to what used to be done for the little instant cameras). They seem like a great option to replace a DSLR but there's no cable trigger available - only infrared. Thanks!

Zlew 0 #3 August 4, 2014 I'm using a NEX 3N this season, and I'm very happy with it. The shutter can be controlled using a micro usb connection, but apparently it is a non standard cable. I don't know the details but maybe Trunk or Martin can chime in. I'm currently using an Exit Equipment plug, soldered to a Conceptus tongue switch, and have an exit equipment switch as my backup. Exit Equipment sells their switch, and also an adapter now that will let you plug in a 2.5mm plug. They are both going fro around 80 USD.
