bodypilot90 0 #1 December 16, 2014 Is there anything better for better frame grabs than vegas pro 13 I'm getting 3 meg in Vegas.
Hellis 0 #2 December 16, 2014 Don't know about 4k video, but I usually use Quicktime for framegrabs. Then I just paste it in Photoshop or perhaps even in paint
GoneCodFishing 24 #3 December 16, 2014 Have you got the project set up to match your imported footage (4k, etc.) and are you capturing by using the 'export frame' button?
RMK 3 #4 December 16, 2014 I thought 4K video was supposed to produce near 8MB frame grabs."Pain is the best instructor, but no one wants to attend his classes"
Laszloimage 0 #5 December 17, 2014 From 4K (UHD actually ) video you can capture an approximately 8MP frame which is NOT necessary going to be an 8MB file size. GoPros's 4K video is highly compressed, so the 3MB file size (I assume jpeg) as a frame grab sounds very reasonable. Check the resolution of the image which should be 3840x2160 pixels. bodypilot90 0 #6 December 17, 2014 ok thanks. I'll check and Yes I have it set to match import. Can't wait to print some and see how they look. Working 60 hours and jumping all weekend leaves little time to play. (yes i know I am lucky living in Sebastian Florida)
EWRookie 0 #7 March 11, 2015 So is this true for adobe premiere as well? I use the built in screen grab feature in adobe premiere 6 and my camera is set to 2.7k resolution (GoPro 3 Black) and the file sizes are around 500-800KB on average.. no were near 1-2 MB? what would cause this? Am i doing something wrong?
