keithbar 1 #3 April 20, 2015 Thanks for the link Douglas. Looking at it. I believe I misspoke. I think what I need is a step down ring I'm trying to mount a 30mm threaded lens onto a 37mm cx camera. If i do this will the ring show in the video?i have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response. Naw I wasn't low I'm just such a big guy I look closer than I really am . DSE 5 #4 April 20, 2015 you'll have a vignette when you're stepping down, yes. Why do you want to step-down? That's rather unusual.

DSE 5 #6 April 20, 2015 you'll lose half your image quality by doing so, but if cost is your obstacle, it's certainly understandable, if not ideal.
keithbar 1 #7 April 20, 2015 Well that shoots that idea in the foot. Thanks again Douglas. What do you think of the opteka brand of lens? Also do you know offhand if all the cx series have the 37 mm thread? Sorry to keep bugging you. i have on occasion been accused of pulling low . My response. gowlerk 2,190 #10 April 22, 2015 I'm starting to think that whatever cx series camera you have, it already has a step up to 37mm adapter installed. That's why you can't screw on your 30mm lens. Take a close look, some of the plastic adapters look like they are part of the camera.Always remember the brave children who died defending your right to bear arms. Freedom is not free.
