Cloudhopper61 1 #1 May 9, 2016 I have purchased a Sony NEX-C3 camera as my first for still photography work. I have 286 jumps and am 14 accuracy jumps away from my C license. This camera was recommended by Dave Parker, the S&TA at my drop zone. Sadly, it is the NEX-C3A that seems to be simple to find remote switches for. My camera has a mini USB port instead of the micro USB port on a NEX-C3A. I have purchased several adapters, some of them quite expensive, still with no ability to trigger my lens. Is there a tongue or bite switch available anywhere for my camera? I have spent 2 or 3 months trying to find something that will work, and I am desperate. Please, someone make me look really stupid for not coming here first. Thanks!Dude, should we be doing this?
photognat 0 #2 May 10, 2016 The C3 doesn't have a remote release port. https://esupport.sony.com/US/p/support-info.pl?info_id=636 You can either sell it or hack it up if you're good with soldering: https://gethypoxic.com/blogs/technical/16457609-adding-a-wired-shutter-release-to-the-sony-nex-

The 3N was pretty common, and you could get an off the shelf switch for it.
 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
