SkydiveMonkey 0 #2 March 1, 2002 The canopy for freefly doesn't really matter. It's the container that counts. If there is a minimum amount of exposed bridel, and the main and reserve flaps are secure, you won't have a problem You shouldn't put a knife in the toaster - but you're an adult now !!! PhreeZone 20 #3 March 1, 2002 A tnj container is like one of the smallest Sunpath makes. Unless you are like 100 pounds, odds are the canopies are too small for your skill level right now. Ask about wingloading and proper sized canopies in the gear and rigging fourm if you are unsure of your gear.1 square foot to 1 pound exit weight is the best ratio to learn with in terms of canopy choices for some one starting out.Cause I don't wanna come back down from this cloud... ~ Bush

mwthomsen 0 #5 March 2, 2002 My first canopy was a spectre loaded at about 1.2. I currently jump a sabre2 and would like to caution you to fly conservatively. It is tapered and may respond differently on opening then you are use to especially if you are packing yourself and haven't spent time in the pit. I found myself picking the mud out of my container and helmet earlier this winter. Three feet higher and I would have surfed like crazy three feet lower and I probably would have taken a trip to the hospital.Mike
PhreeZone 20 #6 March 2, 2002 Is 155 your Exit weight or 155 is your body weight? If it is your body weight your exit weight is more like 175 and your wingloading is 1.3:1. I've only got 270 jumps and am just looking at going to the 1.35:1 loading range.Cause I don't wanna come back down from this cloud... ~ Bush
