Suits in the UK

Recommended Posts

Just a few thoughts....
Air Care (part of Thomas Sports) are very low-cost and no-frills but certainly do the job.
Symbiosis suits (Rob Colpus and co at Headcorn) are a bit more up-market - more fabric and style options - stripes, chevrons, etc.- done 300+ jumps on mine and it's just starting to show signs of wear. No complaints about my suit, but I've heard of some taking several months to arrive.
Original Lizard stuff seems more fashion-conscious - funky colours and patterns.
Not in the UK - but Matter suits are made by the guys at Ampuria and are very cool - and they're made by freelfiers, but they're quite pricey IIRC.

All the suits I've ever owned were made by Symbiosis, RW, Freefly, and camera, absolutely no complaints whatsoever, either on build quilty or service.
Chappy (original lizard) does make nice looking suits, but have never tried one.
A few friends have had Aircare and they fell apart, but that was a long time ago, TSE are pretty good on everything else, so the suits have probably improved a lot.....

I have an Original Lizard suit which I'm generally pretty happy with. Some of the dimensions are a bit off, around the neck most noticeably, but that's probably due more to my incompetent measuring than anything else.
Over the weekend I saw Anvil (Keith?/Bones?) wearing a freefly suit made by Ray, looked very nice and well made. If you're around Langar and know either have a word.
Or...;););)...I won a 50% off voucher for a Flitesuit which I can't really afford to use at the moment but I'd gladly swap it for some jump money.

My new Air Care suit just turned up this morning - I only placed the order end of last week, and it's here already (and I didn't pay extra for the rush order option!!). Fit is perfect as well. Well recommended. (haven't jumped it yet though)

Yeah, I got my freefly pants from Air Care end of last week (2 weeks from ordering). The fit is great and they appear to be well made, but haven't had a chance to jump them yet. They cost me £60 (inc. P+P), freefly matter's pants do look good but at £86 (plus P+P) for the basic pants that is just a bit too pricey for me. BTW I've made about 150 jumps on my Flitesuit freefly suit and really like it - ordering from here I did have quite a wait though.
