Whats everyones comfortable speeds for sit, stand and head down? I'm struggling to get my sit/stand fast enough to play with the head downers and I'm wondering if its totally me (good chance) or if the HD'ers are too fast to really play with.

What's you're ProTrack saying on average for your sit?
Just my $0.02, but it should be the HDers slowing down for you as much as you speeding up for them. I've worked on my HD with a lot of sitfliers and it really has helped improve my range. I still sink out from time to time, but not nearly as much as I used to.

Yep....since I got the new suit I can stay with the "Average" sitflyer. The only bad part is the fact that I can't move much. As soon as I start trying to move I sink out. I don't have a Pro Track so I'm only guessing that it's around 160.

160 is my neutral sit. I only have to stand to chase friends.....I can do about 125-130 working hard on a slow sit.....Ummm....dunno bout h/d did one at the weekend and was up to 178, but flailing.

Hey Dave, if you want we can play with your HD a bit this weekend. I have several problems in HD... fortunately falling fast isn't one of them. ;)

Love to Zen :)I'm getting better, but still need help. I managed to stay with Haz Matt for a while then we popped into our sit for some sunset boogieing, it was narce....
We could be busy--here's hoping anyway--with all teh other partying stuff going on, plus I promised to help Ezee with some filming of ground stuff, and ramp shots, AC formations etc, and help out with video dubbing if things get hectic. But hey, we should be able to manage three or fourteen ...;)

My protrack reads 149 constantly. First and second half are usually 145-152 ish. I've had belly flyers dock on me in a sit before. It was'nt backflying either. I just bring the toes straight out like I'm streching in the morning and I can do 127ish.

there's a sky diver at the dz in waller that can fall up to 185 on his belly, i know, i didn't believe him either, but he's got the curve printed out from his pro-trac, i saw it with my own two eyes! he's a good sky diver, and has great fall rate control! i'm working on mine still! :)Richard

Are you sure he didn't have it set to show feet per second? 185 fps is about 126 mph which seems a lot more plausible (IMHO).

there's one at spaceland that did 167mph on his stomach. i can say that for a fact since i was in the air with him when he did it. i actually floated on him for second while headdown. hookit spocked him headdown. it was a cool jump. he's our first round draft pick for hybrid dives.

My protrack reads 149 constantly.

Actually, that is closer to the slower end of the range Phree. As an average, it could be a little higher, somewhere around 155-160ish... sit or h/d, it's all freefly... and your range should be similar in whatever position - sit/stand & h/d.
But as mentioned by Zennie, matching speeds isn't just your responsibility, it's everyone's on the jump.
Cheers,

What are the physical properties of the people who do this? Are they just super large people or do they just know how to fly?

the guy at spaceland is a large guy. he's about 5'8" and very stocky. not sure how much he weighs but he's a big dude. he was wearing shorts and t-shirt when he almost hit a 170mph

Levin... I'm not much larger then you and I've still got recorded speeds of 215 on my Protrack....185 in a stand at that... speed your ass up

not much larger means your larger but not much larger. 215 is faster but not much faster. maybe you're just faster but not much faster cuz you're larger but not much larger.
maybe i'll take my pet rock with me next time

getting fat doesn't work :) getting dense does. i'm pretty slim
myself - 6'2" & 185 lbs, but my last 40 pounds were earned in
the gym :) and doing speed dives every weekend helps a lot
as well ! :):):)
