ColdDuck 0 #1 March 25, 2003 Does anyone know what the largest track dive ever done is? "Insurance should called In case shit happens, if shit don't happen shouldn't I get my money back?"
Zenister 0 #2 March 25, 2003 you mean the largest number of people getting out of planes together with intent to track? or largest number of people actually IN a "formation" flying together? i looked (not very hard) and didnt see any standards for this kinda thing, but during the Xmas boogie at Eloy we did 2 rather large tracking dives..35+ish and 47 i think there were people scattered ALL over the sky...but it was fun to dive out last and zoom past people falling out and going low to catch up to the leaders i LOVE tracking...i'm sure being 6'4 185lbs has something to do with it... ps. your better off posting this Q in general skydiving...tracking certainly isnt a freefly only thing although more freaks than RW types tend come out to play on all the tracking dives i've been a part of
base698 19 #3 March 25, 2003 I did a 27 way for my 600th jump I think. It was some multiple of 100....
Yoshi 0 #4 March 25, 2003 I did a 38way...2 otters... is skydive chicago I think it was last years summerfeast..maybe the year before.. wasnt all together, but mike ortiz and rook had smoke and they both led.... I never knew how much you stink once on the ground if you get in the smoke trails...that stuff is horrid:) -yoshi_________________________________________ this space for rent. nacmacfeegle 0 #5 March 26, 2003 We did something like a 40 way tracking dive out of the AN72 at Vichy in 2000, Flyboyz Frick, and Babylon organised it, but it was still a bit of a zoo.... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. ColdDuck 0 #6 March 28, 2003 Yeah I mean the largest organized track dive. "Insurance should called In case shit happens, if shit don't happen shouldn't I get my money back?"
Zenister 0 #7 March 28, 2003 well both those were organized (Omar and Mike O.) but the wide range of tracking abilities meant everyone was all over the sky.. loads of fun zooming past that many bodies falling out, but it would be really cool to see an organized high altitude load with assigned slots, something along the line so a big way tracking attempt.. (anyone does this i REALLY want in...) we needed a sign "you must be this tall or have x number of tracking jumps to ride this plane"____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
