Yoshi 0 #1 May 27, 2003 this weekend I led a track dive, which started out not so good, I did the count (with a big hand wave) and noticed that 2 people were not watching (out of 5 of us) so I started the count over...unfortunately the 2 people who saw the first count were off and away. mental note: leave on my own count and dont wait for others... especially on a track dive as with the line of flight plan they would be able to catch up to the leader alot easier than float up. just thought I would share this with you all.. any comments welcome:) also on the dive the one person that was with me (the others being about 300 feet below and off to the side noticed in a borrel roll) had a pro track and avg speed was 110. I am also 6' tall and 185 without any gear so I thought that was pretty flat... -yoshi_________________________________________ this space for rent. Trent 0 #11 May 30, 2003 What's up Kevin! Tracking dives can be tricky, but just like any other dives... the people have to watch the count on their own. I usually give a little thumbs up check to the people in the plane, then to the guy on the back of the camera step to make sure everyones set. The count and go. People will realize they missed the count when no one's around anymore! With us, it's better to leave late since very few people can float up to a tracking dive that's got a vertical speed in the 90's. We always let the less experienced people stay high and give themselves a little room for the float factor. And yeah, we've got a couple of people here who want to compete but need a third. Let me know and I'll put you in touch with them before you move. Later, TrentOh, hello again!
Yoshi 0 #12 May 30, 2003 cool. sounds good.. I am actually looking to move in early late august or maybe even before that. not sure yet.. I cant wait to be there though I had a great time the weekend I made it out to spaceland. so is krista still looking for a manifestor? do you have any idea what the pay is like? I will most likely transfer and stay with bank one (which is who I currently work for) but who knows... good to hear from ya! -yoshi_________________________________________ this space for rent.
