skreamer 1 #1 June 9, 2003 They've just announced the fleet line-up for the Swedish freefly festival here. * Beaver (10 jumpers) * TurboLet (15 jumpers) * An-26b (60 jumpers) Coaches are as follows : Omar Alhegelan, Steve O Utter, Adrian Nicholas, Max Cohn, James Evered, Boel Janerus, Colon Berry, Nils Predstrup, Martin Kristensen, Tim Porter, Bonnie Dutile, Teppo Heikkinen, Rob Silver, Elin Hakansson, Alex Meacock, Fredrik Erlandsson, Tim Carter, Chris Salcone, Scott Mekker (with more coaches to be announced). This is the biggest freefly event in the world. Great skydives, great parties - this will be the second one I attend and I can't wait! You can download the trailer for last year's boogie video here. Jump tickets are 150 Krone ($19,20US) and every 8th jump per day is free. I can't say enough good things about this festival or the people running it - eg. last year I was on a 7-way where all 7 people were from different countries, so many new friends, so many good times. Oh, and the mixed saunas and showers were kind of cool too... Will

skreamer 1 #8 June 24, 2003 Just an update for you guys, they have announced even more coaches for the Swedish Freefly festival. In addition to the coaches listed in my first post, the following will now also be attending : Brian Germain, Adam Rosen and Patrick Heaney. Looking at the lift capacity, the coaches lined up and the very reasonable jump ticket prices this is going to be one awesome boogie! Some quality photographers there (SteveO, Adrian Nicholas and Adam Rosen), I intend learning a lot.
Remster 30 #9 June 25, 2003 Quote I intend learning a lot. Any of it skydiving related? .... ok, I know I'm not allowed in this forum....Remster

grega 0 #13 June 25, 2003 Man i can't wait for the next years sweedish freefly festival. I won't be there this year because i'm still learning freefly and have nothing to brag about Well the real reason is that i don't have time and money. But next year i'll get there 99% I really envy you guys that go there. Have a blast and take a photo or two so we, who won't be there, will be able to see how it was too It will be sweedish freefly festival in 2004 too, right BTW were there more people from US in the last years festival, or were they outnumberd by european freeflyers? How about this year?"George just lucky i guess!"
skreamer 1 #14 June 25, 2003 Quote I won't be there this year because i'm still learning freefly and have nothing to brag about There was one guy doing AFF during the boogie last year, he had as good a party as everybody else. Everybody gets treated as equals there and they cater for all skill levels. Skygods who are up their own arses probably won't enjoy it. Quote It will be sweedish freefly festival in 2004 too, right I really hope so, this boogie is the highlight of my skydiving year. Quote BTW were there more people from US in the last years festival, or were they outnumberd by european freeflyers? How about this year? Not that many - it is a really expensive flight from the states. There were a couple and they had a good time. One of the coolest things about this boogie is the diversity of people there, I was on a 7-way last year where each person was from a different country (England, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Russia, South Africa and Australia). Oh yes, and the women - some of the finest looking women in the world (who just happen to be shit hot freeflyers)!
grega 0 #15 June 26, 2003 Quote Oh yes, and the women - some of the finest looking women in the world (who just happen to be shit hot freeflyers)! you just couldn't help yourself not mentioning them, could you? Do you think they would coach me? How to freefly that is. Hmm maybe i can sell my bed and furniture, so i can be there. When did you say it is, in two weeks "George just lucky i guess!" skreamer 1 #17 July 1, 2003 Another update, even more coaches have been added to the Freefly festival line-up : Filippo "Ippo" Fabio and Alexandro Ramos -Team Aria. Full line-up of coaches here. There is no bigger freefly event in the world than the Swedish Freefly festival.

skreamer 1 #19 July 1, 2003 Quote Are you on freaking commission? No - just stoked to be going to the biggest freefly event of the year and learning from some of the best freeflyers in the world. I've kept all posts to this thread thinking that others might be keen to know what is lined up at the festival (eg lift capacity, coaching line-up etc). Is that OK with you or shall I return the favour and start posting fluff to the grips for girlies (RW) forum?

flow 1 #23 July 12, 2003 It's a shame I have to be working next week, otherwise I would've been there too. Hope everyone is having fun there, maybe next year.
Mathyaz 0 #24 July 19, 2003 I have heard some rumors that they would try to build a new worldrecord freefly formation during the boogie. Anyone who knows???
skreamer 1 #25 July 20, 2003 I got back from the boogie yesterday afternoon, no record set by then. However they normally wait until the end of the boogie before giving the coaches a chance to play. Considering the talent they had there I am sure a record attempt could happen. As far as I knew they were only going to try break the Swedish record (12 way AFAIK). I had a good time at the festival, only made 24 jumps but 8 of them were quality 1 on 1 coach jumps with Rob Silver so it is all good. Oh, and the Generation Freefly guys (Max and Patrick) are awesome. They talk a lot and they talk very loud but they are enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. (but Patrick's taste in togas leaves a lot to be desired! ). One of the coolest dives I saw on the big screen was the atmonauti with smoke they did around Eric Fradet on his skysurfboard. A special thanks to Joe Grubb (James Evered's girlfriend) - she worked her ass off while everybody else was playing and took an awful lot of shit. She is a top chick and she and James are good people. I had a fucking great time in Sweden, hopefully the hangover won't last much longer.. Will PS Espen (ALF #1 off rec.skydiving) got me into shit at the bonfire, got me labeled as a pyromaniac when it was all his fault!
