bbarnhouse 0 #1 June 13, 2003 Hello All, We know that most of you have heard about Rodger Nelson. For those who have not, I regret to inform you that he passed away last Saturday, June 7, 2003. Rodger was so many things to so many people. He touched the hearts of thousands throughout his wonderful life. He was a terrific man, a motivated leader, a beautiful father; a pioneer to our sport; man, the list can go on forever. His unconditional love for and trust of his daughter Missy gave birth to the Sugar Gliderz two years ago. He believed in and supported our team and its goals with all his heart. Rodger’s knowledge and sprit will live on forever. This update is to inform you that Missy and her brother Rook are being very strong and doing well. They are truly amazing. The strengths Rodger had, he gave to them. They are surrounded by love and support. They have received much e-mail, phone calls and letters from friends around the world and although they have not had time to reply to everyone they appreciate it. Missy wants me to tell everyone that she is doing fine and that she can feel the love and hear the prayers. She is very thankful for everyone’s support. Missy is putting together a scrapbook of memories and thoughts anyone may have of her father. If you have a special memory of Rodger, whether you knew him or not, if he touched your life in anyway, she would love to hear about it. If you have the time, e-mail your thoughts to us and we will print up a hard copy for her. So if there is wonder in anyone’s mind about the plans concerning the women’s vertical world record and the training camps, well ladies, the show will and must go on. Missy will not be able to make it to the Texas training camp, however there will be a couple of highly skilled flyers from Team Anomaly there to help Amy. Plans for the Summer Fest Camp and the record itself remain the same. More then ever we want this event to be a huge success. We look forward to seeing you all and once again thank you for all the love and prayers. The Sugar Gliderz
