uros678 0 #1 November 6, 2003 Hello... Let's say you have a 3 way. How do you position them in a side door of a Pilatus Porter PC-6 (right hand side door if sitting on the pilots chair). One must get the shot of the other two exiting, obviusly this is the camera guy. What's the exit timing, whitch way to exit, exit count...got eny ideas, people?? How would you pull of the same thing on a plane with left hand door? Best regards, Uros
Unutsch 0 #2 November 6, 2003 NOTE: i have very little experience hm... in my opinion the best way to accomplish such exit is by a loud SCREAM of 'em all Check out the site of the Fallen Angels FreeflY Organisation: http://www.padliangeli.org
WrongWay 0 #3 November 6, 2003 DISCLAIMER: I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. Anyway, I'm no expert, but I would assume you would have one guy on camera step or hanging back behind rear float and the other two facing each other in the door. Give the count, the front guy will fall back with his head to the wind, and the rear guy falling forward doing likewise. They exit, and a 1/4 to 1/2 second later, the camera guy peels off, head into the wind, camera facing the two other flyers. That should work just fine I think. I've never jumped a Porter, so take that into consideration. Wrong Way D #27371 Mal Manera Rodriguez Cajun Chicken Ø Hellfish #451 The wiser wolf prevails. Chapsta 0 #4 November 6, 2003 Another way... if you're on camera just have the outside two face eachother and you on the inside filming... all hold one hand in the center and you sort of roll out on top of them. This is a flower. If there's stability issues just take the other hand and grab the person next to you shoulder. I just did a successful one last weekend! Lots of fun! Good luck man! cheneyneel 0 #5 November 6, 2003 Take a three way accordean (spelling ?) out liked first then do the exact same thing unlinked... Taking it out linked you should not have any resistence hence when you take it out unlinked then the same slots will be flown.
hookitt 1 #6 November 6, 2003 Quotehey exit, and a 1/4 to 1/2 second later, the camera guy peels off, head into the wind, camera facing the two other flyers. That ought to get ya loads of seperation. Just push out at the same time they do. My favorite is the leave just a moment before their feet leave the step... a teeny tiny moment. and drop below them an my back. Another way is to just put your hand on one of them (take that however you will) and do the exit as if you were linked but don't hold on. The seperation desired for a good shot will just happen. You'll learn how to adjust that distance with practice. Another real answer. Just go try it. If you bump into them big deal it's gonna happen sooner or later any way. uros678 0 #7 November 7, 2003 Thanks all... now how would you pull out the side door a vertical compresed (hope that the right name for it)..you know the thing that's the same in RW but in vRW it's on the vertical axis.. Anyone??
Ricx 0 #8 November 7, 2003 Camera man has both feet on the wheel, facing the rear of the plance and exits eith a fraction of a second before or at hte same time. The other two who just do what they want. The Camera man can then fall down and get the plane and both of the jumpers in view. Looks cool! form every angle, especially when you get the rear float camera on the jumper on the wheel falling out to the side from the front wheel!!
