skreamer 1 #1 November 20, 2003 It has been announced that there will be no Swedish Freefly Festival in 2004. I attended the last two festivals (2002 and 2003) and it was truly a privilege. Glenn, Niklaas and the rest of the crew worked their asses off, made everybody feel at home and provided me with some of the best memories of my life. I did improve from a skills point of view (hard not to with the awesome coaches they had from all over the world) however that isn't what I'll remember most of the Friflaj festival. I'll remember sitting on the couch and watching as the Danish dude who walked across the runway got spanked by ALL the chefs. The kitchen crew from 2002 were evil, they ruled. I'll remember standing out in the forest under a case of beers I'd strung up in a tree, shouting 'CASE!!' and seeing a mad rush of people, including a naked dude from the sauna. Only in Sweden. I'll remember when a pilot accidentaly broke my camera helmet, Glenn gave me two jump tickets because 'I want you to be happy'. I'll remember walking back from the party and meeting people all geared up and heading out to the balloons. Boy we had some good parties. I'll always remember the 'free moonshine for everyone who cross-dresses' night, that and the toga party this year of course. I'll remember watching my first BASE pack job (and three months later getting to jump with that same person). I'll remember being driven back from our balloon jump, five of use locked up in the trailer with the balloon and the mad Aussies decide we need to start going rounds with the helium. Man there is just shitloads I'll remember. I'll always respect the way Skydive Skane managed to keep an excellent safety record while still keeping a laid-back attitude. Maybe one day we will be like all those old hippies who talk about Woodstock, because if you hadn't been to a Friflaj festival then you just won't understand. I am sad there won't be another but I feel fortunate to have been a part of it. Thank you Glenn, Niklaas and all the rest at Skydive Skane - you made the biggest freefly event in the world happen (three times!). Will PS I'm still wearing my festival hemp bracelet four months later, no way I'm cutting it off now.

ifics 0 #4 November 21, 2003 Events like the one you explained are things I look forward to attending during my skydiving career. I hope there are others in the future but I wish I could have gone to that one. I know I would have been the first one to that hanging case of beer
