SilverFox 0 #1 August 14, 2003 I'm a student and contemplating my first rig. I'm 215lbs nerked. Thinking of a Sabre2 230, but don't know if resale on larger canopies will be difficult if I downsize. Had the idea to lose 15lbs and buy Sabre 210 instead. Check out the classifieds at various sites, see what the going price is and make your own decision. There is a lot of slightly used gear for sale by those who get out. If the bigger canopies are selling for less than the more popular napkins, then take advantage of the low prices and buy a barely used canopy for little money, if the prices are comparable, then no need to worry about resale value.People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. oldnewbie 0 #5 August 14, 2003 I'm not an expert at selling used canopies, however, if you had a spectre or sabre2 230 that was used and in good condition at a decent price, I would buy it from you right now!! I don't see many/any of these for sale. Could the reason be that they sell so quickly that nobody ever lists them in the used classifieds?? Yes, MOST people do want a smaller canopy!!! betzilla 56 #6 August 14, 2003 Larger parachutes are tought to come by used -- most of the recent grads at my DZ who are buying big gear end up having to go with new stuff (or really old stuff).
