WrongWay 0 #1 June 30, 2004 I was having a discussion the other day with a bellyflyer who had heard rumors (from some pretty decent sources) that SkydiveU might have a freefly coach program in the works...... Anybody know anything about it? Wrong Way D #27371 Mal Manera Rodriguez Cajun Chicken Ø Hellfish #451 The wiser wolf prevails.
AggieDave 6 #2 June 30, 2004 It is in the works and it will be done really well, just like their belly program. They're also revamping their canopy control stuff. That's from a friend who's friends with Rob.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

AggieDave 6 #4 June 30, 2004 No problem bro! Have you thougth about dropping an e-mail to Rob Laidlaw about it? He could tell you straight up whats going on and seeing how it seems you want to be involved, I'm sure he could tell you how to become involved.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." fatmarl 0 #5 July 3, 2004 The program is already up and running. I attended the first SkydiveU Freefly Search in February this year, it was at DeLand and consisted of 40 minutes of tunnel time and 20 coached jumps (Fabian Raidel was my coach). Also included were a canopy handling lecture from Scott Miller and mental training from Dr. John DeRosalia. Cost was $2,400 but worth every penny! WrongWay 0 #6 July 3, 2004 NICE!!!!! So do they have an official Skydive U Freefly coach rating yet or were they just taking normal SkydiveU coaches who were high level freeflyers? fatmarl 0 #7 July 3, 2004 I don't know about an official SkydiveU coach rating, you would have to contact Rob Laidlaw about that. The Search is an annual event, as far as I know SkydiveU does not yet have a freefly program similar to their Basic Body Flight course. One thing about the Search that I forgot to mention, they have a prize draw towards the end of it, I won 33% off a new PD canopyI really must learn to read, you're asking about coach ratings and I'm on about basic FF courses. Still enjoyed myself though.....

I really appreciate any information about the program or the progress they are making to start one. I want to hear from both sides, for students and coaches. This info is great, and I'm glad you had a good time!! Wrong Way D #27371 Mal Manera Rodriguez Cajun Chicken Ø Hellfish #451 The wiser wolf prevails.
