GodspeedsC5 0 #1 December 13, 2004 I tried my first freefly jumps this weekend - mainly just a little head down and backfly. All I can say is wow I am amazed at the versatility in fall rate.
NeedToJump 0 #2 December 13, 2004 Welcome to freeflying, sounds like you enjoyed the jumps Keep in mind that freeflying adds entirely new elements of risk to skydiving. Please make sure to talk to the experienced freeflyers at your dropzone along the way about what you are doing and go over the various safety considerations. Exit separation and awareness of line of flight become extremely critical as you can cover tremendous distances trying to get stable. Your best bet, both learning and safety wise, is to find a freefly coach at your dropzone to learn from. Your coach will be able to inform you of what you need to know when learning to freefly and help you learn more quickly. Good luck with it and have fun! GodspeedsC5 0 #3 December 14, 2004 Yup, yup - safety first. I sure enjoyed it and want to keep learning. I plan to get some freefly coaching early next year as soon as I return from the holiday break.
