new gear question

I just bought new (used) gear and it came to me in pieces...both canopies in separate bags, etc.. Since I've never owned my own gear, I have no idea how to go about getting it all put together. If I bring it to my home dropzone, will someone there do it for me? What is the standard way to go about this?

well get it all in the same place, contact a rated rigger and give it to him, then magic happens and you have all installed and packed. then you proceed to jump it and the cycle goes on :).

I'll suggest that you ask the rigger you find (and ask the regular jumpers for references) if you can watch him do his "magic". Ita a great way to learn about your new rig.

What I did was put my rig together myself with a riggers supervision. You really should be familiar with all the components of your rig, how else are you going to be able to gear check. IMHO every sky diver needs a working knowledge of their rig.
