Mostly (I think) it's the mental block of the burble thing combined with some inexperience with foot docks and a different vantage point. ntacfreefly 0 #2 March 28, 2006 Most common issue is that the top flyer looks down at the foot dock - essentially stopping the forward movement. Keep your head up and fly to the slot - the rest will take care of itself To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders. ~ Lao-Tzu It's all good, they're my brothers ~ Mariann Kramer
uponone 0 #3 March 28, 2006 The HD flyer needs to fly their slot and not look up. The HU flyer is the one that does the work.

First of all, its a tough move to get the hang of at first. Usually the hd flyer will be static and the hu flyer will make the dock. Try facing off with partner (hu/hd) and then have the hu person slowly move up and make the dock. You should be fairly close so you don't have to "reach" with your leg. The more you reach with your leg the more you have to compensate with your back or arms. If either person is not stable, it is very difficult to complete this move. Once you get the hang of it though, it becomes a lot easier. If you watch Alchemy do this move, they usually do it while they are transitioning to the point after it. Pretty sick to watch. karenmeal 0 #5 April 3, 2006 Thanks Bob! Hopefully I'll get to try some more this weekend. It is crazy watching Alchemy do it! I can't believe how effortlessly they can pull it off. Dolph 0 #6 April 4, 2006 Try to be the HD flier. Accidental sole-to-groins are much more pleasant that way I find that the hard bit about being the HD jumper is the lack of "knowledge of progress". Pretty hard to know what the other guy is doing and it's very tempting to sneak a peek and ruin the setup.
