bodypilot90 0 #1 April 12, 2005 are they ok to use?
faulknerwn 38 #2 April 13, 2005 I think the majority of CRW rigs have them these days. I haven't heard of any issues. W
sprtdth 0 #3 April 13, 2005 Small rings are all I use when I build CRW risers type 8 or type 17 webbing. With all of the swapping of gear that goes on it only makes sense. You can put small ring risers on a big ring harness, but not the other way around.CRW Skies Frank CRW Diva #
leapdog 0 #4 April 13, 2005 I don't see an issue with using mini rings or large rings. Mixing small (on the riser) with the large (on the harness) is ok, but not the other way around. CRWDogRigger 0 #5 April 13, 2005 Like Wendy said, it's pretty much the norm now. I use them and prefer it for myself actually.

That's obvious. Try connecting large rings on the riser to a mini harness ring...good luck. Impossible to do. Cheers, Travis

crwslut 0 #10 May 9, 2005 I prefer larger rings so that I can use larger risers. That way It's more for me to grab when front-risering. Of course vet wrap helps a lot as well, but a larger starting point gives you more to work with. What could possibly go wrong?
teamhypoxia 0 #11 May 9, 2005 I have risers made from the wider webbing but still constructed with the smaller rings. I'm no rigger, but this set-up has been tested under fire (read "wrap cutaway")
faulknerwn 38 #12 May 9, 2005 That's true as long as you have large hands. I had to re-rig a pair of toggles recently because I couldn't grab my toggles and my front-risers at the same time... I have mini-risers because I often have a difficult time with small hands front-risering on the large risers. W
crazydiver 0 #13 September 9, 2005 You can still put small rings on large type 8 risers. Either or. Cheers, Travis
