Getting into BCRW

Looks like these guys just hang in their canopy backwards.
With a 220 cloud I would risk landing like this, hanging under my storm @ 1.6 I would not.

But the idea is cool for sure.
We are planing to play with 3 canopy rig anyway;-)

Correct me if I am wrong and there is another thing to do BCRW.

I once asked on dz about the BCRW stuff but didn't get anywhere. Someone told me Gary Cobb had moved to Australia but I don't know for sure and never tried to track him down. Perhaps someone should!

Gary has been out of the sport for a long time...........
when we did BCRW, it was with big, puffy f-111 7 cells ~ 220 ft^2.

just pack your canopy in the bag as normal, but cutaway and switch the risers R - L or L - R before closing the container.

landings would not be fun under modern gear.

Rot's were fun from the different perspective.

We opened close and I swung around behind his canopy to dock on him. I was very startled to see him facing me and waving me off! He had hooked his canopy up backwards!!

He had a textbook head over heels over head over heels landing!

I already figured out that an AR7 is not an appropriate canopy for first timers in bcrw...
I will give it another try on a base canopy.
